This privacy policy governs your use of the software application RecordMeNow (“Application”) for mobile devices that was created by 0926534 B.C. Ltd (“Company”). The Application is not-for-profit software intended for recording videos related to leaving personal legacies, which includes a video recording function as well as questions to help users organize and plan the contents of the videos they wish to leave, as well as help users determine whom they wish to leave such videos to. The service provided by the Application is provided by the Company at no cost and is intended for use as is.

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

The Application does not obtain any personally identifiable or sensitive information. Users are not required to provide information (including e-mail addresses or other contact information) prior to downloading or using the Application. As well, this Application does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device. 

The Company is able to view the geographical distribution of downloads of the Application, for analytics purposes. This information is automatically collected by the analytics platforms of the associated platforms the Application is offered on (e.g. Google Play or Apple Play). However, the Company will not use this information to attempt to identify a user.

Users may provide information voluntarily for other purposes. These may include contact information if requesting assistance in using the Application, or to receive updates from the Company regarding the Application. However, the Company will not use such voluntary provided information for reasons beyond those the user provided such information for.

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to help us improve the Application and our service. We will share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this Privacy Policy.

We may disclose information provided by users or automatically collected

• as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.  

Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information

We will retain user-provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. We note that such user-provided data would not be received through the Application but through your direct contact with us. We will retain automatically collected information for a reasonable time thereafter.  

Children

We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at http://recordmenow.org/index.php/contact/. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.

Security

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Application. Please be aware that, although we endeavor provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
